Steven Temple, Director at InTouch Systems attended the awards ceremony on 23rd March at Norwich City Football Club where
Thurlton Community Store took home the Business in the Community Award!
When the local shop shut, the amazing community of Thurlton pulled together to keep this valuable asset going. It’s now run by 40 volunteers and champions local start-up businesses, and partners with local farms to provide fresh produce to the village and surrounding area. The Community Shop also has a small café which helps with the challenges of rural isolation, with any profits made by the store going to fund local groups and activities.
Well done to the runners up,
ACE (Action Community Enterprises) CIC who provide education and training through projects, courses and study programmes to school children, young people, and adults.
The Pennoyer Centre, a business, education, social and heritage centre with an award-winning café, thank you both for your work within the community.
Congratulations to all nominees and finalists, it was a fantastic evening to celebrate local businesses, and we look forward to the 2023 awards!
