Stage Two, is a purpose-built education centre run by Norwich Theatre Royal, built next to the venue as a flagship new building to teach, coach and inspire future generations of schoolchildren.
The new three-storey centre will include a 100-seat performance space, and will also feature workshop rooms, rehearsal areas, two dressing rooms and offices for the theatre’s education departments.
Chief executive Peter Wilson said: “The new building will be the muscle that will offer the work of the Theatre Royal to thousands of young people… raising their ambitions, enthusing them to participate in the world of performance, training them to cooperate and collaborate, influencing their attitudes to the world beyond Norfolk, and expanding their mental landscape.”
The new centre will be used for initiatives including its Junior Arts courses and its adult drama workshops, as well as providing teachers a place to learn about delivering classes in music, dance and drama.
InTouch Systems were approached to provide the IT infrastructure and systems, telephone systems, various screens, door entry and CCTV security for the Stage Two project were supplied, installed and project managed by InTouch Systems of Norwich, to seamlessly integrate within the overall development plan, working within fixed time restraints with full attention to project milestones.
